Donny Pennington

Position: Head Coach

After two seasons with the Wildcats, Coach Pennington has complied a 24-22 record and led them to their best season in 20 years including runner-up in Districts. Donny Pennington graduated from Nevada High School in Nevada, Missouri in 1994 and went on to play Junior College Baseball at Brown Mackie College in Overland Park, Kansas.  After two years he went on to play at Milligan University in Johnson City, Tennessee where he led the Buffaloes to a 39-16 record and was All-Conference and All-Region player.  Coach Pennington has coached five baseball players who are now playing in the minor leagues and is the Director of Athletics/Baseball operations at Trails End Camp in Pennsylvania.  Going into is 3rd season as the Head Coach Coach Pennington has led his team to their first MHSBCA ranking in 21 years.  The Wildcats are starting the 2014 season ranked #8 in Class 5.  Coach Pennington also serves as the 2015 Missouri Junior Sunbelt coach and Missouri Senior All Star coach. Coach Pennington is married to Angie Pennington and they have four children.  Braxton 15, Haven 13, Briley 12, and Zaden 7.

Jim Stuart

Jim Stuart started his coaching career in 1982 at Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas.  Coach Stuart was part of the 1984-1985 Kansas 6A State Championship basketball team.  Coach Stuart has served many roles in his coaching career as a Freshman coach to a Varsity Head coach.  Coach Stuart played his college baseball at Sterling College as a catcher and 2nd baseman.  He attended Blue Valley High School and was a four year letter winner.

2011- 4th in 13 Majors Global World Series in Kansas City

2010- 3rd in 14 AA World Series in Bentonville Ar (We played up an age group)

2007-2009 Took an all Neosho Mo USSSA AAA to winning records and successful seasons competing in World Series tournaments in South Haven, MS, Kansas City, Mo, and Dallas, Tx 2006-Took an all Neosho, Mo USSSA 9U AA team and competed in the 9U World Series in Tulsa, Ok where we took 3rd place and was promoted to AAA status 2005-Took 3rd place in the 8U ShowMe State Games in Columbia, Mo


I am very passionate about the game of baseball and became involved with coaching when my son Colton started playing the game at the age of 5 in 2004.

I currently am 1st base coach/hitting coach/infield coach of the Building Champions Baseball Academy in Kansas City Kansas, and 1st base coach/hitting coach/infield coach of the Neosho High School baseball team in Neosho, Mo. 

I have a beautiful wife, Karen and four children Ashton 19, Chelsie 17, Alyssa 16, and Colton 15.

Drew Osborne

Drew Osborne serves as the pitching coach for the Wildcats.  Osborne has been a head coach at El Dorado Springs High School in El Dorado Springs, Missouri and Weaubleau High School in Weaubleau, Missouri. Before moving to the high school ranks, Osborne was the Head Assistant Coach at Southwest Baptist University where his duties included serving as the Pitching Coach and High School Recruiter.  Prior to SBU, Osborne worked at Mac-N-Seitz Baseball and Softball Academy as an instructor and facility manager learning under former MLB player Mike MacFarlane and former Kansas City Royals and Arizona Diamondbacks hitting coach Kevin Seitzer.  Osborne was a four year starter on the mound at Southwest Baptist University.  He holds the career strikeout records and was also second in career appearances.  Osborne was also named a three time All-MIAA Academic award winner.  Osborne graduated as Valedictorian from Wellington-Napoleon High School in Wellington, Missouri in 2001.  He has coached several players who have moved on to play in the professional and collegiate ranks.  Osborne has been married to his wife Gwyn for six years and has two children, Lydia (3) and Luke (1).
